SOLAR POWER SYSTEM
Contractors Performance.
We have just had our home equipped with a solar power system. The name of the system is Roof Mount Photovoltaic System. We contacted Acro Electric, Inc. of Oakdale, CA. The owner of the company Steve Vella made an appointment with us to come to our house and discuss the total system with us. He explained what was needed on our part plus what part Modesto Irrigation District would have in the installation of the system. Everything that was needed to be done was all done to the up most efficient manner. During the coarse of the entire installation process Acro Electric, Inc. did what we consider an excellent job in all phases of work. They were here at the times they said they would be here and if any delay or problem would occur, they were on the phone right away to notify us of any change that was necessary. Their office crew was very professional in all aspects of phone contacts. Their installers were the most professional personal we have every encountered. The work ethics were superb. Explaining the system as they went along was indeed a welcome relief, as there is so much involved in doing a solar power system.
I have had many other types of work done in the past by contractors. We have never had a group of people who are more people friendly and professional as those of Acro Electric, Inc.
I want to send to them our very most sincere thanks and we would absolutely recommend their services to any body or any one who needs electrical work done in the electrical field. It is nice to know that there is a company who puts service and public care as a top priority.

Just wanted you to know that your solar installation team led by Joe Gordo completed the system install today and they did a FANTASTIC job. I was impressed by how much they did in so little time given the tough weather conditions (105 degrees in the shade) here in the high desert, their drive to provide the best possible install. The system looks great, and the neighbors seem to be coming out of the woodworks to check it out. I've already given out a few Acro Electric business cards to interested folks that Joe kindly left me.
Again I'd just like to say you have two outstanding employees with these guys.

"thrilled with the performance"
For the first year of operation on our system (May 06 - April 07), we went from an estimated prior year total kWh usage of 7734 to 1988.
Our net cost was a bit above $50, compared to $1000 the previous year
- Rob calculates that we saved well over $900. We have been thrilled with the performance of the system, really love the monitor inside to allow us to track both production and usage, and would happily make the investment again and/or encourage others to do so. We also answer lots of curious questions, so we get to enjoy being solar electric advocates as well. And last but not least, knowing we're contributing to reducing our energy footprint has inspired us to take some additional steps - most recently, we purchased an electric-assist bicycle that Rob uses often for his commute to work in Pleasanton.
Thank you both for the work you did to make the system work for us - we're excited, as you can see, and wanted to share our enthusiasm with you both.

I Just don't know what to say.... we are amazed that you were able to accomplish in 3 days what the other company couldn't do in 1 year. You have all displayed a professional "team" ethic. We are truly impressed, and so are our friends.

I am writing this letter to thank you and to express our satisfaction with your business, your product, your installation of our solar system and your employees.
As you know, I asked for proposals from five different contractors. For Marian and me, the big difference that seperated you from your competitors was our ability to sit down, face to face, and work out all of our issues with the owner of the business, not relying upon promises from a commissioned salesman. You were flexible enough to work out a financing arrangement with us which enabled us to accelerate the installation of our system.
With regard to your employees, we were impressed with everyone with whom we came into contact. Both Stephanie and Ashley were very pleasant and helpful in directing our inquiries and their part and their part with the financial requirements. My hat goes off to Renic for putting up with all of my phone calls and E-mails requesting technical information and for preparing numerous proposals for different size systems. The installation crew of Mike, Joe, and Scott were very courteous, friendly, hard working, and tolerant of my presence during the installation. We were especially pleased with their consideration and efforts in maintaining the aesthetics of our home with the installation. They were very careful to keep the job site clean and they strived to get our system ready for inspection in a very timely manner. Jeremy was only on our job assisting in the last couple of days but from what I observed, he will be another valuable employee for your company. I hope that you will share our thanks and appreciation for a job well done with each of these employees.
As for the system itself, we are extremely pleased with the performance. Those SunPower modules are remarkable. They start generating at first light and are still going until it is almost dark! I almost went out to check the inverters during the full moon. Today was our fifteenth day of being on line with PG&E. Our net usage after 15 days was 14 killowatts. Not bad for this time of year and the weather we have had during this period.
Once Again, thank you for the excellent work your company performed for us! Please feel free to use us as a reference. We will be glad to answer questions and also to show off our system to your prospective customers. Also Steve, you and any of your employees are welcome to stop by and visit us.

"everything promised and then some"
My wife and I while driving heard a radio advertisement by ACRO Electric touting the benefits of installing a solar electric system. We called the phone number provided and were told we would receive a packet of information in the mail.
The packet arrived in a timely manner under a cover letter provided by Steve Vella, the owner of ACRO Electric. My wife and I digested the information provided by Steve and gave him a call requesting more information.
Steve visited our home in Oakdale, California, and provided answers to our many questions. No hard-sell or anything like that. It was, in fact, a pleasure listening to Steve's short tutorial in the use of solar energy and the savings we would realize..
We were sold not only by the solar panel system but also by the services ACRO Electric stated would be performed on our behalf in acquiring a system and getting it up and running..
The most important services were: (1) design of the system for sizing, (2) forms completion and submission for rebate purposes, (3) identification of assistance with financing resources, (4) purchase of all system components, and (5) installation.
ACRO Electric did everything promised and then some; all in an exceptionally professional manner.. Now, one of our pleasures is to watch "the meter run backwards" when we are generating more electricity than we are using. Thanks ACRO!
